just you wait... I had to resort to cattle to find evidence of spring's arrival here, but pretty soon you'll see that spring hits here big... about one week before summer hits. Hardy har har. (sigh) I hear we get snow tomorrow... yip-freakin-yippee-yi-yay.
Chris: Well, after the build-up, April Fool's day was a bit of a letdown. Perhaps I'll include details of the day in an bulleted-type update post tomorrow.
Berry Girl: I've lived here six years now and I still have my breath taken away by our spring flowers. The blue/purple flowers are bluebonnets - our state flower. I'll see if I can get my hands on some seeds and send up your way for my Canadian blogger friends to try. The orange flowers are indian paintbrushes.
oh man, if you can get some seeds here, I will plant! Really stunning. Flower gardening is one of my favourite things - except I never seem to get it quite right...I'm always moving stuff around year to year.
Did you take those photos?!? So beautiful! Since our trip to Houston, we haven't seen many bluebonnets. I definitely haven't found a field full like I'd like to! We headed up to Salado last weekend, but no significant bluebonnet sightings. They are so pretty though, I'll be sad when they disappear from the side of the road!
So, we have 4-6 tulips peaking up now. I want to know where the other 94 are! Tons of ranunculus are growing though! How are your bulbs doing?
P.S. We have an air date for our TLC show! Details on my blog!
I would love to know it that picture is of "this Spring" cause I have seen very little of the bluebonnets this year. What with no real rain till yesterday. I do love driving along the Texas roads and seeing all the wildflowers each spring..
Right smack dab in the center of God's country! (That would be Texas.)
I am a wife, mother of two, daughter, sister, friend. Oh, yes - and a Princess. (Really! It's all about the lineage... "But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12
) I love my life and find lots to laugh about - although it's usually at my own expense and often at the wrong time! Can I share the fun with you?

It is very pretty. I'm going miss lots about Texas. I'm sorry we were not able to get together while I was here.
