I'll bet that's not a question you're asked very often! But you do remember the pigs, right? Actually, the correct name for them is feral hogs.
Whatever.
They're still here. And the problem is getting worse.
Our little patch of suburbia has been a featured story in all of our local papers. A few nights ago, we were the leading story on the evening news. That's just how we want our community spotlighted. Very classy.
We're thinking of having ham for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. Not really. Feral hogs do not make good table meat.

Should us rednecks come down there and putcha outter your misery?? =D Seriously, dh is planning a wild board hunt with some buddies of his in the adjoining RM (what you call county). And no. We don't have wild boars up here. These were wild boars that someone attempted to raise, but them bein' wild and all, they broke out and are terrorizing the neighbourhood. If you can call it a neighbourhood. This ain't the suburbs after all.... I still can't believe the stuff that happens to you in suburbia!

Yes, I DO remember those pigs! LOL Yep, nothing like being invaded by hogs to make your community shine on television! ;) You poor thing...(but then, our garage is currently invaded with- ugh- rodents!!!)

Too funny! Our town only makes the big town newspapers if something weird happens - such as the molasses spill a few years ago. What a mess!

My hubby and I laugh though because there is a Mexican restaurant right down the street from our house and several times we mentioned stopping and wondered if it was any good. This week, we were watching a TV show together and saw a preview of a news story. "Eat, Drink & Be Wary" And it was a shot of that restaurant! Guess which local joint we WON'T be checking out! ;)
