There's this:
Oh, yes! *Starbucks* Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back! I received an email from them yesterday announcing the return of the pumpkin latte as well as their new Toffee Mocha Latte. Naturally, I had to stop on my way home this morning to try one. Just to make sure they were as good as I remember. I think they are but I might have to try another one or twenty just to make sure.
It's definitely the season for this:
The first day of school - one senior and one freshman! Don't worry - that's not a gang symbol they are flashing. The name of their high school starts with the letter "R" - so the school spirit symbol is a combination of the American Sign Language symbols for "I love you" and the letter "R."
Then there's the sounds of the season:
Drums beating... my center tenor playing his way through the fall of his senior year.
Wondering why Burrito has a buzz cut?
That's because the back of his head has his drumline logo shaved into it. All the tenors decided to do this as a team bonding experience. One mom was not as thrilled about it as I was. (Did I mention it was my idea? Definitely earned me "cool mom" points.) Hey, if that's the worst thing he does during his senior year, we're in good shape!
Did I mention she was selected as captain of the Freshman squad? Oh, yes, she is!
Now, if we could just convince this Texas weather that it's truly time for Autumn.

Oh shoot! You got a double dose of Momma reality this year. One kiddo doing his last year of high school and the other kiddo being old enough to start high school. HUGS cause I know you need them.
Love all of the photos. They look wonderful. Congrats to Kat on being head cheerleader. YAY! And of course you KNOW how I feel about band :)
Enjoy your pumpkin spice. I'm not a coffee fan but I do love the way it smells. MMMM!
Love ya Dawn. Have a wonderful week!
toffee mocha? sounds lovely. I may have to take a detour sometime in the next few weeks to indulge. And 99 tomorrow? Can't even imagine! I posted my handsome chaps last week, since for some odd reason they started on the 27th of aug!!
I would drink pumpkin spice lattes in the Sahara lol. But I did (briefly!) live in TX once and I was so homesick for fall in WI that my Dad raked up leaves in his yard and he UPS'd them to me. Believe me, I spread them out on the lawn. :)
Your crew looks great! Big years for the both of them and Oh! they're so blessed to have you. Can you post video? I'd love to hear that drumline!
Blessings, C~
Looks like they're in for a fun Fall! I had a little Starbucks love myself this morning :)
Can't wait for fall around here...maybe the Pumpkin Spice Latte will let me pretend for a while...(GREAT pics!)
Thanks for sharing your news and pictures!
No Starbucks here. Closest one is 4 hours away and costs about 3 times what it does there. Guess I'll have to wait until I go to Texas to have some of those yummie coffies, ok?
Our kids are growing up huh? I have a college sophomore, a high school junior and a 6th grader. Where has the time gone?
It was great to talk to you yesterday! Love and miss you!

Yay for fall! Time to stock up on Caramel Apple Spice ingredients! (my fave fall Starbucks drink) Sounds like life is busy in your neck of Texas with the start of school and fall activities!
You know how much I love fall...and, unlike you, the weather here has been cooperating. Wish I could box it up and send it your way!
Thinking of you as I found out that MalMart discontinued Mulled Cider candles...at least at our store. Major bummer!
Loved the pics of the kiddos! Took me a moment to figure out why Kat had white & maroon X's on her uniform....hahaha DUH!
Love you lots,
